Kiswahili Pointers

2011 started on another high with Rye's son (Brynamadean's Osprey by Kiswahili aka Ryson) winning the Southern Pointer Club Puppy of 2010 competiton in February 2011.

Then the elation turned to horror when Ryson was taken ill and was lost after an operation to remove a blockage from his intestine. He passed away on 28.02.11. All at Kiswahili mourn the passing of this young star in the making.

Kiswahili Pointers have ended 2010 at the top yet again!

Sh Ch Kiswahili Martin at Kanix is Top Pointer 2010; his mother, Wyndsmoor Gold Lace at Kiswahili is Reserve Top Brood Bitch 2010; his brother, Kiswahili Catcher in the Rye now has 1 CC and 3 RCCs to his name.

On top of this their offspring are now starting to make their mark in the show ring!

Wow, what a year we have had!!

Thanks to all that have made it possible; friends for their congratulations; owners of our breeding for showing the dogs in such stunning condition; judges for recognising the quality that we have bred; the breeders that have allowed us to use their lines to establish our own kennel - we owe them everything!

At both shows he was awarded BOB; at GBAS he was placed 3rd in the group!! Well done!!

2010

Here at Kiswahili we are choosing to cut back on our dog showing and breeding activities for a short while, due to health and personal circumstances that we have been presented with.

Kiswahili Pointers will continue and we do have one or two exciting plans for the future. We thank those who are helping us at this time, as without their support we could not continue our breeding lines.

We plan to mate Kiswahili Storm in a Tea Cup when she next comes into season, which should be towards the end of November. Lokmadi Love for Lydia by Kiswahili will also be part of our breeding programme in the future.

Kiswahili Catcher in the Rye

Rye has only been shown lightly this year, due to our other commitments, but has done consistently well. He has won a further RCC and thrilled us by winning his first CC at Windsor in July.

Sh Ch Kiswahili Martin at Kanix continues his winning ways gaining his 9th CC recently and several more RCCs. He is siring exceptional puppies, including a litter in Belgium!

Update August 2010:

Martin now has won a total of 11 Challenge Certificates and has qualified for the Eukanuba Champion Stakes Final on 23rd October 2010 for the second year running.

Congratulations to Joanne, Heather, Sigurd and Kari on all their achievements with this exceptional young dog!!
