Caroline has been involved with pointers since 1986 when she purchased her first one from James Rose of Kiswahili based in Northamptonshire. This bitch was the start of a passion for the breed that continues to this day.

Ziggi, Kiswahili Queen of the May(pictured above), was a lovely black and white bitch who had a reasonably successful show career. She gained a Junior Warrant, won a first in Puppy at Crufts and obtained her Stud Book number as well. Sadly she never had any puppies, despite being mated a couple of times. Caroline and James then purchased an orange and white bitch from Des McGarry (Toberdoney) in the hope of starting again. She was Rosennarra Etolie of Toberdoney (RCC) and she had two lovely litters to Sh Ch Nikclairs Montrose at Midnight. A bitch was retained from the first litter, Kiswahili Fatal Attraction (Candy) who has a very sucessful puppy career. Sadly, Candy was never campaigned as an adult due to Caroline getting divorced when she was sold to a pet home.

After a short break from the ring and after meeting Royston, Sedgekirk Sooner or Later of Kiswahili joined us from Eddie and Gill Whitham. Her mother, Sh Ch Sedgekirk Scandalous was half sister to Kiswahili Fatal Attraction and looked much like Candy. So, Jessica joined us and is still here today at 12 years old. She gained her Stud Book number and produced three litters for us, out of which

Kiswahili What's Your Dream
Above is one of Jessica's daughters winning PB class at Crufts in 2001.
Over the past 12 years we have shown when we can but time is limited with our son, Ben, to consider and us both working full time. We have gained good placings along the way and a RCC with Penwest Psyche for Kiswahili (Willow). In early 2006 we introduced Penwest Phineas of Kiswahili to the show ring and he did very well as a puppy. In late 2006 we started showing Kiswahili Catcher in the Rye who has also made a promising start.
In late 2007, Kiswahili Martin of Kanix made his debut in the show ring. He has joined the highly successful Kanix show team. He was well placed each time out in 2007 and in 2008 he has already achieved a Reserve Best AVNSC Gundog at Boston Championship show and a BPIB at Manchester Championship show. He has recently won the Puppy Dog class at Crufts.
We are looking forward to seeing them all progress through 2008 and beyond.
